When a living funeral is held under our all-inclusive package, future care is already arranged.

Golden Memories Funerals will collect the person, arrange cremation, and return the ashes to the family. There is no expectation to hold another memorial unless the family wishes to.

Each gathering is held as a three-hour memorial, allowing time for remembrance, shared food, and meaningful connection.

Where possible, we endeavour to have ashes returned within approximately 48 hours from final arrangements.

Timeframes can vary depending on paperwork, approvals, and individual circumstances. Families will be kept informed throughout, and care is always taken to ensure everything is completed respectfully and correctly.

Families are welcome to move between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing the gathering to unfold naturally in a way that feels right.

Ashes memorials and living funerals at Kanteen are primarily held Monday to Friday.

To ensure each gathering is supported with care and presence, we offer two thoughtfully held gatherings per day:

• Morning: 9:00am – 12:00pm
• Afternoon: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
